Backgammon Ace – Multiplayer Board Game & Dice App Reviews

Apparently this is for online playing only. After u download it u have to sign in. It may be fine for people who want to play online, I dont know, but I just want to play with a friend or against the computer... So I just want to open the program and get a backgammon board... They should make it clear in the description " this is for online play only"

I didnt give this game a good review because it will only let you win some of the time. It is trying to get you to spend money. How many times can someone roll the exact number in a row to put you on the wall.

The good is that the rolls here seem random. The bad, is that somehow certain players can let the game time out when they know youre going to win, so that they dont have to pay you the coins.

This is by far the worst game ever. First of all, they normally only give you enough chips to play one or two games, then want you to buy more. Second of all, there is no way someone can get doubles every roll, or the perfect roll every time! I just played against a robot and he doubled, I accepted, had him gammoned, then not even two seconds later, it said "You lose, Timeout". Wth??? It didnt even give me time to play! This is a bogus site, just wanting you to spend money every time. Im done with this site, and I plan on telling everyone what a crappy backgammon game it is!

Twice now I started playing a 500 "coin" game and lost and left with more than 10K coins and when I logged back in, I had ZERO coins. Once they came back after a couple of days but the second time, they never came back.

Horrible game. even though Im winning it till me I lost dont play. And (please) fix the bug. Very annoying.

There is no update in the App Store and it wont let me play anything until I update the game. Somethings wrong!

I dont think the game is rigged. I do just fine despite not having spent money. They dont kill you with ads, just request you watch an optional video once in a while. I get the feeling a lot of people stink at the game and blame luck.

Last update broke the game. Keeps asking me to update an my game is already updated.

This is shameful. In order to hold everyones rating under 1700 and make players run out of chips, the application cheats. I am not the best player but it is obvious that they intentionally change the rolls. The new version has no new feature. Its only meant to divert your attention of the previous reviews. Cheating is a red line for me. Shame on you.

Played for 30 seconds and lost. WTH kind of backgammon is that. GAME DELETED.

So no response from last inquiry about how or why others cause a timeout when Im winning so guess this is just another defective piece of c#*$ game with a robot that gives canned responses to requests. But I wont spend a dime on cheating broken game that they cant make work. And once you build chips they will make you play the bot 8/10 games. The bit first if all has an unfair advantage of never using time in a timed game. Second never accept a double because it will then roll multiple doubles to hit and cover and you wont be able to get one no matter how many open numbers you have. When playing live person not as unfair but the owners just try and make you but chips.

Just a fun app to have if you love backgammon

Agree with previous review. I consider myself a fair player. If you dont buy chips your opponent rolls perfect almost every single time. No one is that lucky. Read online reviews, same thing reported. Not gonna spend a dime! This is getting insane. No one rolls that perfect all the time. Get it together and you will have a good game. Right now too much cheating either by the company or there are hacks. Notice the did an update so all the old (bad) reviews arent visible unless you select all versions. Still not gonna spend a dime so cheat away dudes! UPDATE: Absolutely shameful the way the game cheats. Everyone should complain to Apple. Apple takes a very dim view of companies that cheat their customers. Just played against one of their A.I. Players because supposedly the game could not match me with a real player. Blue Ape NEVER missed hitting me no matter where I was open, never! And, despite putting the A.I. On the bar over 2 dozen times and having four of the points blocked, it rolled off EVERY time. Never missed. It is not possible for someone to roll that perfect. They do this to drain your chips. Well guess what! NIT GOING TO SPEND A DIME! I really hope Apple takes you out of the store.

This is a scam! They have so many "Bots" that cheat! They allow the "bots" to double you up and take your chips...so you have to buy more. The "bots" dont run out of time like you do, and they roll doubles after doubles as soon as you agree to double the stakes. I have video and pics I have tried to send them but they dont want to see it!

There is only one thing more satisfying than reading all theses reviews about people claiming dice collusion, and thats scooping your chips after you took an awful double. Watch the thousands of online videos about why you think backgammon computers cheat...ill give you a hint...they dont and you play bad. My suggestion is to give players the option to report people who stall out at the end of a game...its crazy having to wait 10 min cause someone gets their feelers hurt.

The game has Vegas odds! The house wins. Tries to get you to buy chips by rigged rolls. Doubles rolled three and four times in a row to force a loss! Never buy one single chip, never!

Ive been playing this game daily for many months and have had none of the problems other reviewers have had. I win some and lose some but all seems fair. I havent had to spend any money on in-app stuff. The only time Ive been dropped or unexpectedly lost is when my internet had a glitch. I LOVE this game.
